Club Mission
Chartered in 1998 as a club of Rotary International, the Dexter Rotary Club aims to use its intellectual, physical and financial resources to enhance the greater Dexter area with direct aid, services and substance to assist those in need, demonstrate high ethical character, encourage higher education achievements, and promote social wellbeing. Through our local success we will foster worldwide efforts to promulgate service above self.
Community Engagement

Every Year we engage with out community through hosting events, volunteering, and providing monetary support to programs that enhance the life of those around us. A few of the things we do include:

  • Memorial Day Parade
    • Every year the Rotary Club of Dexter coordinates and funds the Memorial Day Parade.
  • Interact Club
    • Dexter is also home to, the youth counterpart of Rotary, Interact. Our club supports the DHS Interact club through fundraising, volunteering, and scholarships for Rotary events.
  •  Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
    • Each year our club provides scholarships to Dexter High School students to attend RYLA. This weekend long event allows students to gain leadership skills and bring back a community project to work on over the next year.
  • Exchange Students
    • Dexter Rotary has hosted inbound and outbound exchange students many times over the years.
  • FIA Support
    • Rotary supports FIA with fresh produce donation in the winter months, participates in the fall back pack drive and holiday Adopt-A-Family program, and financial grants. The Interact Club potato project provided over 600 pounds of fresh produce for Faith in Action (FIA)
  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing
    • Each year our club helps raise funds for the the Salvation Army by ringing bells
  • Shop with a Cop
    • We donate funds and volunteers each year to the Shop with a Cop event at the Jackson Road Meijer. The event provides families and children with support over the holidays including gas cards, warm clothes, and gifts the children get to pick out!
  • Ronald McDonald House
    • At the U of M hospital there are many families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House while their children undergo critical treatment. Dexter Rotary provides meals for the families a couple times a year.
