Past President Francie Kivel leads a discussion of possible future meeting times and formats for Dexter Rotary members.

Although a Words of Inspiration volunteer was sorely missed, Rotary Club of Dexter members needed little extra motivation to resume the August 28 discussion about the future of the Rotary Club of Dexter. Past President Francie Kivel facilitated a discussion of possible meeting format changes with members on October 2. Inspired by a survey of options shared in advance of the meeting, members converged on the concept of retaining weekly gatherings, although with a shift in timing and format. The proposal supported by most includes 2 morning meetings, 2 happy hour meetings with a program, a quarterly social meeting in months with a 5th Thursday, and a quarterly "all hands" community service project. The Board of Directors will discuss the changes in more detail and develop a transition plan at their next meeting on October 15. Members who were not able to join the discussion are still welcome to submit their input to the online survey through October 14.
