Audiences throughout the Midwest have known for some time that singer, songwriter, recording artist, educator, actress, emcee and radio host Ramona Collins is one of the region’s true music treasures. Her style is a mixture of jazz and blues and oh so fun and wonderful to listen to. Ms. Collins is an artist of substance without pretension who captivates her audiences during live performances. Her fans are fiercely loyal and come back again and again. Her performance is not only about the power of music. It is also about the power of personality. She makes you want to get to know her. She is an engaging performer whose command of the stage and vast repertoire have helped her establish a solid rapport with club, concert and festival audiences wherever she goes.

Ramona views her performing career as part entertainment, part educational. To that end, she has taken aspiring young performers under her wing, supporting and encouraging them and has conducted several master classes on singing and stage performance, one at Oakland University, the other at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. “There are a number of young people who have talent and respect for jazz,” she says. “I’m thrilled they view me as a mentor...it’s inspiring.”  She has recorded two independent albums, “Everything Old Is New Again” and “Live & Lovin’ It”, sung background vocals for bluesmen Bobby G and Johnny Rawls.  Ramona’s recordings are available for download on cdbaby.com and she is currently working on original material for her next recording project.

A product of the Berklee College of Music – Cliff Monear’s jazz group, "The Cliff Monear Trio," is one of the busiest performing rhythm sections in the Midwest.

We hope you enjoy Ramona Collins and the Cliff Monear Trio!
