August 22, 2006 – Rotary Notes
/fontfamily>
Words from the Top:
/fontfamily>We had a great visit from our District
Governor and his wife, Gerry and
Debbie Jackson. Gerry wanted me to pass on his
apologies for being long-winded and going past 8:30.
As you can tell, Gerry is very passionate about
Rotary and its programs. There is much available to
us from a
District level, all we have to do is ask.
I also want to let you know that both Manish Mehta,
via email, and Hal
Flynn, via phone, followed-up with me last Thursday
to tell me what a great Club we have. I want to
thank everyone for giving Gerry a good audience.
Jim Brady will be presiding over the meeting
Thursday in my absence.
Next Tuesday we will have a board meeting at United
Bank & Trust.
Thanks,
Fred

Announcements:/fontfamily>
We’re Moving: On September 8 our club will
begin meeting at Cornerstone Elementary School, 7480
Dan Hoey Road. We will have the same great food and
friendly service plus the added benefit of a better
traffic and parking situation since that school
doesn’t start until 8:50. This move is necessary
because the district is starting a school breakfast
program at Creekside.
